THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS THAT SET ABC PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY APART.
Dr. Aeschlimann is a specialist in pediatric dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. What does that mean? Dr. A. is a pediatric dentist. While all dentists get some training in their four years of dental school in working with children, Dr. A. was so passionate about wanting to work with children that she applied for and was accepted to complete a two-year residency specializing in treating children and children with special needs. For two more years following dental school, Dr. A. studied all of the many different unique aspects of treating children only, learning additional information about growth and development, child psychology, care for children with special needs, hospital dentistry, advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures, and much, much more! Following the completion of the residency, Dr. A. took her written and oral board examination to earn “board certification,” the highest level of certification in the field of pediatric dentistry. As a pediatric dentist, Dr. A. works only with children, every patient, every day.
And she loves it that way!
Another thing that sets ABC Pediatric Dentistry apart from many other pediatric dental offices is that you the parent are welcome to remain with your child during your child’s visit, every visit. We understand that often times parents would prefer to remain with their child during dental check-up appointments as well as dental treatment appointments. At ABC Pediatric Dentistry parents are welcome to do so. We actually encourage it! At ABC Pediatric Dentistry we want to spend quality time with each and every patient and their parents to help the child, and parents, have a positive experience in the dental office, to learn how to take care of their teeth between check-up appointments, and to have the opportunity to ask questions of the doctor and staff. Our main goals are to help young children have positive experiences at the dental office and to be empowered with the information they need to learn how to take care of their teeth to hopefully minimize or avoid getting cavities in order to grow up with a healthy mouth and beautiful smile!
Don’t worry…parents who would prefer to wait for their children in the reception room
have that option as well!
Our office was designed with the kids, and parents, in mind! From the fun colors throughout the office and child-created artwork on the walls, to the Keurig coffee for the parents and child-sized toilet in the restroom (we know a lot of our patients are potty-training!), ABC Pediatric Dentistry has YOU in mind! We have TVs above the patient chairs for the kids to watch during their cleanings and treatment, and a brush-up station where kids can brush their teeth while Dr. A. and her team watch and provide encouragement on brushing techniques and hints for great oral hygiene at home between appointments.
Mom and Dad, you don’t always want to be the bad guys who nag about better brushing!
Let us encourage your kids, too!
We know that coming to the dentist can be an intimidating and maybe sometime not-so-fun-thing you have to do. At ABC, we intend to Always Be Compassionate. Let us help you give your child a great start when it comes to dentistry. In order to provide the top-quality care our patients have come to expect from us, we are currently only able to accept new patients by referral from a general dentist if your child is truly in need of specialty pediatric dental care. We apologize for the inconvenience due to our commitment to our current patients of record and those truly in need of the specialty training we can provide!
They’ll thank you someday
